Fancy disappearing into the jungle for a while?

For four months, our 40ft luxury shipping container is available as a private home at Jinja Jungle — a six-acre patch of riverfront jungle just outside Jinja.

It's properly converted and tucked into the trees: power, a king-size bed, private ensuite bathroom, a living space, and your own little patch of jungle outside.

Come for a month, stay for four. Ideally, we'd love to find someone who wants to make it home for the whole season.

What it's like to live here

Deliberately a little bit wild.

You'll hear birds before you hear traffic. There are monkeys, dogs, fireflies, frogs and all the other inhabitants of a riverside jungle. You'll probably get muddy occasionally. The power comes from the sun, the road is a dirt track, and after dark it gets properly dark.

In return, you get six acres of green space, the Nile on your doorstep and the freedom to make yourself at home.

You can cook, work, swim, read, cycle into Jinja, walk down the river, sit around a fire, or do very little at all.

It's about 5–6km from Jinja and around 3km from Bujagali — close enough to get into town, but far enough away that it feels like somewhere else.

Who it would suit

The right person, not just anyone.

We're looking for the right person rather than simply trying to fill the room.

It would suit someone working remotely, taking a break, writing, creating, travelling slowly, or simply wanting somewhere different to spend a few months.

You should be comfortable with jungle life, animals, occasional insects, solar power, and the fact that this isn't a conventional serviced apartment.
