Long-Term Stays

Work remotely. Live in the jungle.

Stay for a week, a month, or a little longer.

You don't have to choose between getting your work done and getting away.

Jinja Jungle is a proper place to live for a while — your own little corner of six acres of jungle on the Nile, with somewhere to work, somewhere to cook, somewhere to swim, and plenty of space to disappear when the laptop is closed.

It feels a long way from everything.

It isn't.

Jinja is close enough when you need town, people, supplies or a decent coffee. And when you don't, you can stay right here: barefoot, in the garden, by the river, around the fire, doing your own thing.

Work when you need to. Swim when you're done. Stay for a while.

Your Options

There are three ways to do this:

Special Offer

Our 40ft luxury container — power, ensuite — available exclusively November 2026 – February 2027, as a private long-term home.

A Container

Kintu or Nambi, our regular container rooms — available any time, for any length of stay.

Glamping

Canvas instead of steel. Same six acres, same river, same fire at night.

Prices start at 500,000 UGX for a week. Significant discounts are available the longer you stay.

A Base For Real Life

There's no schedule of organised activities.

You live here.

Some days you'll work all day and barely leave your room. Some days you'll finish at 3pm and go straight into the Nile. You might cook dinner with whoever's around, disappear into a hammock with a book, join a sunset fire, or do absolutely nothing.

There's a shared kitchen, gardens, river access, places to work, places to sit, and people around if you want them.

And if you need a little civilisation, Jinja is right there.

Weekends Away

Ideas for short trips we can help you arrange.

Stay put for a few weeks — and use the weekends to explore Uganda.

We can help you arrange trips and adventures around your working life, rather than having to squeeze everything into one holiday.

A weekend in Sipi

Waterfalls, coffee country, mountains and a completely different landscape.

A few days on Lolwe Island

Get properly away from it all without having to fly anywhere.

Four days in Murchison Falls

Take a long weekend, go wild, and come back to your jungle home.

Or stay closer to home: paddle the Nile, take a boat, go rafting, ride bikes, explore Jinja, climb Kali Hill for sunset, or simply spend the afternoon swimming.

Need wheels? We can help arrange bike, motorbike, electric bike or car hire.

Your work doesn't have to stop your life from being interesting.

Living Here

What living here actually looks like.

Your own space

Stay in one of our containers or glamping spaces, with shared living and kitchen areas and the jungle all around you. Laundry is included. See the Special Offer →

A kitchen you can actually use

Cook for yourself, raid the herb garden, buy groceries in town — or let us help with the basics.

The Nile at the bottom of the garden

Swim, paddle, sit beside it, or spend an afternoon doing nothing particularly useful.

People, when you want them

Jinja Jungle has an elastic family. There are people around, but nobody expects you to be social.

Nature instead of noise

Birds, trees, fireflies, dogs, cats, monkeys, gardens and the occasional monitor lizard. This is not a sterile workspace.

Jinja when you need it

Restaurants, shops, cafés, town errands, adventures and everything else are close enough to dip into when required.

Getting More Done

You might actually get more done here.

There is something about having nowhere you need to be.

No commute. No office. No traffic. No obligation to make the most of your holiday.

Just work, eat, swim, walk, think, sleep.

Then do it again tomorrow.

And when the working week is over, you're already somewhere worth being.
